Ali Kuşçu İmam Hatip Secondary School

Our school is a public religious primary school located in Sultanbeyli, southeast of İstanbul, Turkey. The school is located in the town centre with many facilities and easy transportation.There are 74 teachers, 1329 pupils aged 10-13 and 42 kindergarten pupils at school.We have 2 kindergarten and 39 primary school class divided as male and female pupils. Our pupils come from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.We have 52 Syrian,1 Uzbek,1 Russian and 6 inclusive pupils.

There are science and IT lab, library, sports and conference hall, technology-design class, counselling room, teaching Qur’an class,2 prayer rooms for male and female pupils,3 design and skills workshop class:Language, Drama, Critical Thinking based on national 2023 Education Vision. We have 2 English and Arabic as foreign language intensive male and female class at all grades.7 cleaning, a security and managing editor stuff are also employed at school.We actively run Zero Waste,Science Fairs, Harezmi teaching model,Sudan Twin School and Orphan care projects at local and national level, and eTwinning projects on environment, digital tools, values and English language education at international level.As for school strategic plan and vision, we aim to raise pupils as responsible citizens equipped with science-technology skills, academic success and moral values for a better future.Via the project, living in industrialised city with high amount of greenhouse gases and to prove our role as active citizens and educational institutions, we aim to raise awareness of pupils on how to minimize causes and effects of climate change as a global challenge and act to achieve a sustainable life. Pupils and teachers are expected to enhance high respect and awareness to nature and cultural variety,develop digital, research and foreign language skills, feel as European citizens,eager in exchange of good practices and discover new methods for educational development. We are so proud to be a part of this great project!
